The protection of personal data has undergone a profound reform with the entry into force of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (general data protection regulation, known as "GDPR").

This new regulation entered directly into force in national legislation on May 25th, 2018 (in France, law n° 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms, better known under the name of law "Informatique et Libertés", was modified by law n° 2018-493 of June 20, 2018 relating to the protection of personal data for compliance with the GDPR).

Given its full effect from May 25th, 2018, companies collecting and processing personal data must comply legally and technically.

MLM AVOCAT intervenes and assists her clients as part of their legal compliance with the GDPR on the following missions:

  • Analysis of the impact of the European GDPR regulation on the company's strategy and contracts;
